Who are Lumosia?
and how do you pronounce it?
We truly love what we do and what we can do for you and your career. Photographing actor headshots is not a responsibility that we take lightly. These are the images that you will use to progress your career as a performer. Our aim is to capture that little something that will create intrigue in a casting director enough to want to find out more. That ‘1%’ that will help you to stand out in a super crowded market.
My key role is as headshot photographer. Whether in London, Bristol, Birmingham or on location at a Drama School, its pretty much going to be me that photographs your headshots.
Helen bought me a camera way back in 2006 and I knew from the first minute that I wanted to be a photographer! People fascinate me and I love putting people at ease in front of the camera. I have won some pretty good awards and even had the One Show on BBC1 follow me round for a day once which was nice (albeit nerve wracking!)
Always happy to help whether it be to do with the headshot shoots or the more geeky side of what I do.
You can call me direct on 07903 798 755 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
I am based in Bristol and am normally the one that you talk to on the phone, live chat or email. Basically, I clean up the mess that Sean creates! I manage all the workflow from bookings through to edits and any questions that you may have.
If you come to Bristol for your headshots, you will probably meet me as well as Tara!

Lumoosia, Luumozia, lumoshia… No one can pronounce our company name. We get so many variations when we speak to actors. We spent weeks thinking of a name (we used to be Headshots UK but that sounded very corporate). We had tons of trendy names like’Blue Tuesday’ and ‘Smog’. One night Helen just walked in and said how about Lumosia! Our daughter was obsessed with Harry Potter at the time and with photography being all to do with light (Lumos is the spell for light) it seemed perfect! We don’t mind how you pronounce it. Try ‘Lumos -E-A” and you are pretty close.
